Item description
The heart of this coffee table is the Singer No. 15K88 sewing machine (as reported in the original technical booklet in Italian The Singer Manufacturing Co. dated 1933). The decorative style of the time is clearly visible in the beauty of the engravings on the plates that cover the inspection compartments to the internal mechanics and in the golden decorations still intact. The weight of the cast iron body with a single mould required the construction of a solid oak base with wheels hidden in the structure. The sturdy oval tempered glass top is securely fastened with pins specially designed and built to accommodate the curved design of this beautiful Singer.
